Responsibilities:
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Perform 10 key typing to input and process financial data
- Conduct account reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Utilize strong math skills to analyze financial information and perform calculations
- Assist with budgeting activities, including tracking expenses and preparing reports
- Understand debits and credits to accurately record financial transactions
- Conduct credit analysis to assess the creditworthiness of customers or clients
- Perform account analysis to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Assist with general ledger accounting tasks, such as journal entries and account maintenance
\*Accounting Assistants support the Accounting department by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports and budgets, fielding communications with clients and vendors, fact-checking, filing, and other duties, as needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience in accounting or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
