*SUMMARY*
Directs financial activities of the organization and overall responsibility for the general accounting functions.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
· Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
· Coordinate the monthly close process, which includes recording of all
journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
· Prepare monthly and annual financial reports in accordance with US GAAP
· Maintain fixed assets accounts
· Monitor inventory activities to assure proper recording of month-end
balances
· Manage daily cash activities including bank operations and funding
requirements
· Maintain relations with banks and other financial institutions
· Process payroll on a weekly basis
· Maintain and promote financial controls, policies, procedures and
processes
· Provide management with timely reviews of organization's financial status
· Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code
revisions
· Coordinate annual 401(k) audit
· Coordinate with external tax accountant and assure annual corporate tax
filings are met by required deadlines
· Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
· Formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval,
transfer, and disposal of records
· File monthly sales and use tax reports
*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES*
Directly supervises 2 employees in the Main Office.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
