POSITION PURPOSE
The Customer Support Specialist position is responsible for answering incoming calls from internal and external customers, responding to online chats, as well as online messages and becoming a subject matter expert in several areas, and assisting in duties related to the daily operations of the bank while providing the highest quality of customer service.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 2 years retail or operations experience within a financial institution.
General or advanced knowledge of:
Federal and state consumer compliance and BSA/AML regulations.
Bank’s core systems.
Bank’s retail and commercial deposit products and services.
General or advanced knowledge of IRAs and HSAs is helpful.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced PC skills with experience in MS Office products including Word and Excel.
Well-developed analysis and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Good organization and time management skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to handle pressure and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently with minimum direction/supervision.
Ability to work in a team environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily duties related to bank operations as assigned.
Answering incoming phone calls while logged into phone system.
Completing tickets through CSC ticket system in a timely fashion.
Working knowledge of banking core systems, online banking admin, and bank deposit products and services.
Fraud detection and analysis (ACH, Check, Card, ATM, Kiting).
Deposit Platform, Reg CC (holds), perform daily duties related to bank operations as assigned, including back-up support.
Deposit File maintenance – New Accounts (CIP, IA Deposit Laws, Policy/Procedures etc.
)
General Bookkeeping (NSF, Stop Pays etc.
)
Scanning & Scanning Checkback.
IRA/HSAs.
End of year Tax Reporting.
Teller System and Teller GL balancing.
Back -up support for other Customer Support and Operations personnel as needed.

In-office Position (Not Remote)
Little to no travel required.
