The Culver-Stockton Admission Office seeks a dynamic individual to join our professional team.
The full- time, 12-month position of Admission Counselor is responsible for recruiting a quality and diverse student population.
Admission Counselors will travel to college fairs and high schools and provide telecounseling and electronic and written correspondence with students and their families.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining an awareness of the campus programs of academic affairs, student development,
retention, and athletics.
Scheduling campus visit dates with prospective students and hosting campus visitors.
Planning and execution of both on- and off-campus visit programs along with orientation programs.
Cultivating alumni, faculty, administration, and other to assist with the recruitment process and to
continue relationship development with prospective students through use of personal contact, personal
notes, and social media.
Relationship management and maintaining personal contact with prospective students throughout the
admission process in a variety of capacities, including the use of phone, email, personal note, and
social media options.
Responsible for updating all student content in the Salesforce software.
Will assist with the retention efforts of current students.
Monitor progress within the admission funnel of recruitment and will analyze the yearly comparison
information to make decisions regarding the growth of the program, with support of the Director of
Admission.
Prepare reports including those detailing weekly activity, qualifying inquiries and the status of
potential students from assigned area of recruitment.
Responsible for monitoring the prospects, inquiries, applications, acceptances, and deposited student
numbers from the assigned responsibility area and determining the next best steps in the recruitment
process of each prospective student.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, have excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
Sales experience or higher education experience is preferred.
Must have a current driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed.
Admission Counselors must have sensitivity toward students of all backgrounds and possess an understanding and enthusiasm for the mission and vision of Culver-Stockton College.
Candidates must have the ability and willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight, and to work evenings and weekends as necessary and appropriate.
