Director of Fleet Maintenance

*Sharkey Transportation, a Leader for over 50 years in West Central Illinois and NE Missouri transportation, is seeking candidates for Director Of Maintenance in our Quincy, Illinois offices.
* *The Director of Fleet Maintenance is Responsible for Managing and coordinating the Maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
* *Duties include but not limited to:* * Maintain accurate records of all repairs made including routine and preventative maintenance.
* Manage Staff including training and continuing education .
* Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory policies.
* Evaluate continuously the overall conditions of the fleet to improve reliability and performance.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance is scheduled to minimize disruption of business operations.
* Say current with technology changes and industry trends.
*Requirements* * 5+ years of maintenance management experience.
* Strong Knowledge and understanding of the maintenance planning process.
* Knowledge of DOT and other related rules / regulations.
* Must have an excellent understanding of warranty repairs , maintenance, parts management, and best practices in continuous improvement processes.
* ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as function in a team environment.
*Pay commensurate on experience.
