*Taproom Manager *
Position Overview: As the Taproom Manager at Friendship Brewery, you will be responsible for leading and managing the operations of our taproom, overseeing a team of passionate staff, and contributing to the overall success and growth of our brewery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, a passion for craft beer, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership:
* Recruit, train, and supervise taproom staff, fostering a positive and cohesive team environment.
* Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance team performance.
* Schedule and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs.
* Customer Service:
* Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times.
* Interact with customers to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
* Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
* Taproom Operations:
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the taproom, including opening and closing procedures.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring an adequate supply of craft beers, taproom supplies, and merchandise.
* Collaborate with the brewing team to stay informed about the latest beer releases and offerings.
* Coordinate with local food providers to coordinate open and closing hours and to cross promote offerings
* Regularly meet with local food provider to evaluate existing and future offerings
* Sales and Upselling:
* Implement strategies to promote upselling of craft beers, merchandise, and brewery offerings.
* Monitor sales trends and suggest adjustments to optimize revenue.
* Coordinate with the brewing staff to meet local demand.
* Implement and coordinate with the head brewer to promote spirit and special drink releases and events.
* Events and Promotions:
* Plan and execute taproom events and promotions to enhance customer engagement.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to promote taproom activities through various channels.
* Cleanliness and Maintenance:
* Maintain a clean and organized taproom space, including tables, bar area, and common areas.
* Address maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
* Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing taproom operations.
* Stay informed about licensing requirements and renewals.
* Brand Representation:
* Develop relationships with local organizations to promote civic engagement
* Work with other hospitality providers to enhance local offerings
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in taproom or hospitality management, preferably in the craft beer industry.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Knowledge of craft beers and brewing processes is advantageous.
* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Experience with a point-of-sale system required
