The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a *Chief Medical Officer* for a community health center, also called a federally qualified health center (FQHC), in West Burlington, Iowa.
*What is a community health center?* * The nation’s largest source of comprehensive primary care for medically under-resourced communities and populations.
* An outpatient clinic with an integrated care model - medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, often under one roof for comprehensive and coordinated services for their patients.
*Mission of the community health center:* * Provide quality comprehensive healthcare from a community-orientated partner, accessible to all.
*Position at a glance:* * MD or DO with a primary care specialty that will split their time 50/50 between seeing patients and overseeing the primary and behavioral health practice delivery for the community health center with collaboration of the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
* Member of a supportive work environment with providers working together to accomplish the mission of the community health center.
* This is a replacement position and will be available in April 2024.
*More Details:* * Schedule: M– F 8am – 5pm with some evenings possible, no weekends.
40 hours/week * Location: West Burlington Clinic with travel (for supervision) to BH clinic in Burlington, Keokuk Medical Clinic, Hamilton Clinic, Louisa County Clinic.
* Appointments: 30 minutes new patient, 15 minutes follow up * Call schedule: none * Patients: 16-24 patients/day depending on length of day and visit types * Number of Exam Rooms: 2 * Current Staff: Across 5 clinic sites – 4 FP Physicians, 7 FNP, 1 PA, 3 Pediatricians, 1 PNP, 1 PA Ped, 1 Psychiatrist, 1 Psychologist, 4 Psych NP, 2 BHT, 2 BHC.
* Support staff: 1 LPN support for the pod, 1 clinical support float for the pod * Supervisory responsibilities: supervises the primary care providers, director of behavioral health, and director of pediatrics.
*Benefits Offered:* * Base salary of ($255,00 - $300,000) + $40,000 for CMO component + productivity based on patient visits.
* *Eligible for up to $50,000 in student loan repayment for two years of service and eligible for renewal.

* * Contract Length: when you sign a 3 year contract you are *eligible for a $10k bonus each year* of that contract and can continue to receive that bonus annually for up to 5 years.

* CME: 5-10 days per year based on experience + $3,000-$4,000/year * PTO: 20-28 days per year * Holidays: 7 paid * Retirement Plan: 403b plan – 4% of salary plus 1% additional if employee contributes 2%; upon maxing out 403b in the calendar year – eligible to contribute to 457.
