Licensed Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Take and develop dental x-rays - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations - - Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment - Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft - Follow all infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Skills: - Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge related to oral health - Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, charting, and billing purposes - Ability to accurately assess patients' oral health conditions and provide appropriate treatment recommendations - Competent in taking vital signs and performing patient assessments prior to dental procedures - Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment options Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the dental practice.
