Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time RECOVERY TECHNICIAN/MEDICAL ASSISTANT/NURSING ASSISTANT in our HANNIBAL MISSOURI - COMMUNICATIONS DRIVE location.

Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality
Conduct intakes for persons entering the Detoxification Program or the Residential Treatment Programs
Make referrals to other agencies in accordance with agency Policies and Procedures
Orient Consumers to the program they are entering
Conduct assessments for Consumers admitted to the Detoxification Program (Detox)
Monitor and document Consumer behavior while on agency property or while engaged in an agency activity to ensure compliance with Program Rules
Transport Consumers as scheduled and assigned by the clinical team
Report to the Detox Director or Technician Coordinator when rules are broken
Monitor vital signs of Consumers receiving services in accordance with the Policies and Procedures of MTBH Recovery Services
Monitor Consumer’s self-administration of medications within compliance of Program, CARF and DMH regulations
Collect and monitor the collection of Consumer samples for UA testing
Document in Consumers’ records in accordance with tasks performed or observed and in accordance with agency Policies and Procedures
Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the agency as scheduled
Maintain adherence to documented schedule by arriving on time and ensuring coverage as needed
Ensure all documentation and paperwork are legible and accurate
Assist the nursing and clinical staff in the performance of their duties
Attend in-service and staff meetings
Display appropriate ethical boundaries with Consumers at all times
Monitor Consumer participation in structured activities as assigned
Conduct educational groups as assigned utilizing mandatory billing regulations such as real-time billing
Have an understanding and knowledge of mandatory reporting responsibilities
Take Consumers with or without children out for structured activities
Other duties as assigned by the Detoxification Director, Technician Coordinator, Program Directors, Clinical Director or Vice President of Clinical Operations
Additional Duties in the Women and Children Daycare Progam
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Experience in the human services field preferred but not required
Certification as Medical or Nursing Assistant preferred
Knowledge of the recovery process
Willingness to work flexible hours during the week, weekends, and holidays
Valid Class E Chauffeurs driver’s license (may attain within 30 days of hire)
Knowledge, ability, and active certification to perform CPR and First Aid (may be provided)
Ability to pass a Comprehensive State of Missouri Background Check
Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings
