Job Summary: Performs general production and set-up duties assigned by production supervisor to facilitate efficient production on various press machines that may include loading, bending, shaping or cutting steel or metal according to job specifications.
Maintains quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sets-up and operates various press machines according to established specifications.
Reads and interprets blueprints.
Verifies settings and makes required adjustments.
Maintains specifications by observing, measuring, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, and adjusting machines as indicated.
Communicates with team members and management, participating in problem-solving and providing feedback/recommendations.
Prepares, cleans, and maintains a safe workstation/environment by complying with procedures, rules/regulations, and safety guidelines.
Adheres to and supports 5S 1.
Adheres to and supports the ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations and follow work instructions at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent; for safety, performance and productivity, must be able to read, write, and speak English; must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Capacity to do repetitive work and stand for long periods of time.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn software.
Ability to follow directions, written and verbal, and to make decisions and follow through.
Ability to use tools and equipment applicable to the manufacturing environment.
Ability to read blue prints and other written instructions.
Ability to qualify for and retain a fork lift license.
Ability and availability to work any shift.
